Easy Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg frozen or refrigerated pie crusts
  • 6 cups thinly peeled and sliced (approx. 6 medium) apples
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
  2. In large bowl
  3. Spoon evenly into pie crust.
  4. Top with second crust; wrap excess top crust under bottom crust edge.
  5. Press edges together to seal
  6. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until apples are tender
  7. **Cover edge of crust with strips of foil after first 15 minutes of baking**"
